TikTok works on a different algorithm than Instagram or Facebook: content is first shown to a small audience that does not follow you, and only spread further if that group responds well. That means an account without many followers can still get large reach with one good video, but also that consistency in volume matters more than on other platforms.

For hospitality and retail, TikTok often works well with looks behind the scenes, the preparation of a dish or a quick view of new products. For recruitment we see good results with short, honest videos about what a working day looks like, while consumer brands mainly grow with humour and recognisable situations rather than direct sales messages.

TikTok does not suit every business. For strongly formal B2B services or an audience that is mostly over forty, the chance of relevant reach is limited and we often advise putting the budget into LinkedIn or Facebook first. We are explicit about that during the first strategy session, even if it means we do not recommend TikTok.

What is included?

Is TikTok also suitable for a small business without a big budget?
Yes, because TikTok can give videos reach without advertising budget if the content lands. We do advise testing organically first before you add budget for advertising.
Do I have to appear in the videos myself?
Not necessarily, but videos with a face of the business often perform better on TikTok than completely anonymous content. We discuss beforehand what is feasible and comfortable for you.
What if a video does not land?
That is part of the platform and says little about the quality of your business. We analyse per video what did and did not work and apply that to the next round of content.
Can you reuse TikTok videos on other channels?
Yes, suitable videos are also used as an Instagram Reel or YouTube Short, so you get more value out of the same recording.
